Stevie Salas, an American / Canadian Apache, world-renowned musician, and polymath, has a stunning resume as an award-winning guitarist for, among others, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, George Clinton, Public Enemy, T.I. and Koshi Inaba. He joined writer-director James Burns to create the powerful documentary Boil Alert which premieres at TIFF. Together with Six Nations Mohawk Layla Staats, they set out to indigenous lands in Canada and the US contaminated by industrial waste and disregard to discover their toxic impact on local communities and souls.
