Dyan Cannon was an aspiring singer and actor when she married Cary Grant in 1965. She was bubbly, ambitious and bright, but once they married, he wanted her to be a traditional housewife and look after him. Their complex relationship, based on intense attraction is the basis for the new BritBox four-part series Archie, a reference to Grant’s birth name Archibald Leach. Cannon who produced the series with her daughter Jennifer Grant, and Jason Isaacs who plays the mercurial Grant spoke with What She Said’ Anne Brodie.
